My “web guy” Kurt has become quite interested in improving his golf fitness, and he is looking to me and golf biomechanics to help him do that.
To start, what is biomechanics? Biomechanics is the study of how forces exerted both internally (by the muscles) and externally (by gravity) affect the skeletal system. The golf swing is an incredibly complex motion that requires almost every part of the body to work together in sequence and in harmony.
In this post and video, I’m assessing Kurt’s golf fitness. Although he is physically fairly strong and reasonably fit, as you will see by viewing this video, he has several areas from a golf swing perspective that needs working on.
After this assessment, Kurt and me put together a program specifically tailored for Kurt to get him more golf fit.
